Sauerlandrefugium

We felt very welcome from the start, and the owners were friendly and accommodating throughout. When a kitchen knife broke at the edge by its plastic handle while we were cooking, we reported it, and they handled it calmly and professionally. These things happen. The apartment is modern and spacious, with two double bedrooms and two large bathrooms, one with a big bathtub. There's also a single-person sauna, a well-equipped kitchen, and drinks in the fridge for one euro each if you want something on arrival. The terrace has a lovely view, and a forest path starts right by the house. We were comfortable and well looked after, and would happily recommend staying here.

The setting was especially lovely, so peaceful, with a breathtaking view over the village. The hosts were kind and helpful, even clearing the path to our parking spot every day. The apartment was spotless and packed with thoughtful touches, from the softly lit bathtub and winter decorations to the lovely-smelling bed linens. Amenities were excellent, and we could use Netflix and other streaming services. We've stayed in plenty of holiday rentals, but this is easily our favorite. We'll return in summer!

Ralf and Ines made us feel very welcome. The charming apartment had plenty of room for our family of four, including our two young children aged 5 and 3. We liked the tasteful decor and excellent amenities, especially the infrared sauna. Set on a hillside, it's also an easy drive to local sights and activities. We're already looking forward to coming back.

We'd gladly stay again. The apartment was clean, spacious, and had a great balcony view, and the hosts were very friendly. It's right by the forest. The road in is a little narrow, though there's a turning circle just a few meters away.
