The staff were lovely, always smiling and helpful, and the spa area was top tier, especially with its private and shared spaces. The stay still left us with mixed feelings. There weren't proper double beds, just two beds pushed together, which felt like a shame for a hotel that calls itself romantic. We also weren't given slippers for the spa, supposedly because the floor is slippery. The breakfast buffet gets crowded quickly, and there's not much space.

We had a really nice dinner at Das schwanefeld after a long day travelling to the area. The restaurant felt warm and welcoming, with lovely decor. The staff were kind, the food was cooked just right, and there was a good wine selection and some sweet treats. A nice choice if you're nearby.

The new sauna area costs 10 EUR, and I think it should be included in the room price. Apart from that, we were really happy with the friendly staff and good service. It's a really nice hotel, with excellent food and breakfast too. 👍

The room was hard to cool on hot summer days, since there's no air conditioning. The minibar adds even more heat, and opening the windows lets mosquitoes in because there's no screen. The hotel is good otherwise, but a small salad costs 17 EUR. The menu calls it normal size, though the portion is actually rather small.

The town feels like the end of the world, but for someone working at VW, this is the best choice. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the staff are really friendly and make you feel at home, and parking is right outside the door.
