Seehotel Off

Tasty food with an excellent view across the lake.

Dear Ms. Off, thank you for such a wonderful time. I got to celebrate my birthday during our stay, and you made it even sweeter with breakfast. We enjoyed being with you and will definitely return!

The breakfast buffet was fantastic and had everything you could want. The soft-boiled egg they cooked to order was perfect. Our room was large and clean, with a side view of the lake from the balcony, and the small hotel was quiet and close to the thermal baths. We got a warm, personal welcome, though the staff at departure felt rather impersonal. We'd gladly come back.

The rooms are beautiful and the location is great, but I wouldn't stay here again for any view. My privacy was ignored over and over. Even with the “Do Not Disturb” sign up, someone entered without warning and insisted on making the bed. My repeated requests for no cleaning were disregarded each day, and once my things seemed to have been searched. The hotel sign disappeared after the first night; after the second, my own sign was taken down and left in the room, then it was gone after the third. When I asked why this kept happening, I was told, “I didn't know that.” On the final day, staff asked three times whether I was sure I didn't want to be disturbed, then ignored the request anyway. I can't explain the intrusiveness or apparent distrust. With privacy repeatedly and deliberately violated, I can't give another star for the hotel's other qualities. I regret not leaving sooner and demanding my money back.
