FMM Hostel

The bedroom and shared bathrooms were clean, and for one night the stay was quite decent. The location is ideal if you need to be near the airport. At the entrance there's a machine that verifies your stay. Scan your ID or passport there to get your room information. I paid around €70 for a room with two beds.

The only easy part was the quick, automated check-in. We booked this hostel for a night before our flight after a long trip toward the airport, hoping to get some rest, but the room was uncomfortable and sound carried through the place. The sheets looked old and dirty, and the pillow was little more than an empty case that needs replacing. I know it's a hostel and didn't expect much, but I still wanted to feel comfortable sleeping without my outdoor clothes on. The shared bathroom for men and women also looked so unpleasant that we didn't use it. The price is low, but basic cleanliness and care would make a real difference.

The room and bathroom were clean, and the place is very basic, but it does the job. It's handy for an early flight, just a five-minute walk from the airport. Booking and check-in took a bit of effort because they send several different PINs for the building, check-in and room activation, then another PIN after activation. It wasn't too hard to work out, though. There are no staff on site, so be ready for that when you arrive.

The beds were very comfortable and it was quiet, and the location is great for getting to the airport on foot. Beyond that, the hostel is extremely basic, with very simple furniture and fittings, so I thought the price was too high for what you get. There are no staff members to meet. You check in at a computer and need to read the entry instructions in your emails carefully. The showers and sinks were clean, but there were only three showers for several rooms. I didn't use the common area because it was very dirty and full of smokers. The place felt a bit creepy, like an old prison or something.
