It’s clean, quiet, and beautifully done, with lovely plants and enough to keep you occupied. The furniture feels chosen for the apartment, not like the landlord’s old leftovers. There’s a big HD TV in the living room, a smaller one in the bedroom, electric blinds, and a balcony you can sit on even when it rains. The free Wi-Fi is super fast. I’d give it six stars if I could!

The check-in handover went smoothly, and the apartment had everything I needed. It was very clean, right down to the windows. Cyclists will find it handy, about 2 kilometers from the city center, where almost all the bike tour starting points are. The balcony is very spacious, though it wasn’t clean.

I slept really well for the first two nights in the quiet, modern bedroom. The apartment is lovely, renovated, and fully equipped, just as the owners’ photos show. The kitchen has everything, including genuinely sharp knives, a kettle, cookware, grill, oven and stove, plenty of cutlery and glasses, and a large fridge with freezer compartment. There are also remote-controlled roller shutters and pleated blinds for privacy. The bathroom and toilet have been renovated too, and are very well supplied, including a hairdryer for the ladies (AEG 2300 Watt). Even a first-aid kit and cleaning supplies are provided. This may be the most complete vacation apartment I’ve ever stayed in. I’m thrilled and would come again. August 2020

The apartment is cozy, bright, and welcoming, with a relaxing view over the garden. I was traveling alone and always felt safe and comfortable. It had everything I could need, and the owners were exceptionally friendly and professional to communicate with. Thank you for the hospitality. I’ve rarely stayed in such a clean holiday apartment, and never one with windows this spotless. That attention to detail really stood out to me. “Waldmeister” is in a peaceful, idyllic residential part of Meppen, about 500 meters from the entrance to “Esterfelder Forst,” a beautiful, almost mystical forest for walks and exploring. The Ems River is nearby too, and the natural surroundings are lovely. The wider Emsland region is great for exploring on foot. I really enjoyed Meppen, Lingen, and the area's charming small towns.
