We waited 45 minutes and weren't even offered finger food. The Hirschkalbsbraten came with ... kiwi?! The meal felt like grocery store food at four-star prices. Service, food, and presentation were all pretty bad. Sadly, the restaurant was a real letdown.

The spa was a nice extra, and the hotel's restaurant was outstanding, with quick service and friendly waiters. The staff throughout were helpful and welcoming. Our room was clean and adequate, though a little dated. The hotel itself felt cozy and homey.

The green, wooded hills nearby make for long, healthy walks, and the lake's fresh water was another highlight of my summer holiday. Everything at hotel HENNEDAMM was of the best kind: the room and bathroom, cleanliness, food, staff, owners, and hotel itself. I also loved the small town. I wanted to find Germany's true soul and Germanness, and found it in Sauerland, Mechede, and hotel HENNEDAMM. I'm deeply grateful for a wonderful holiday I'll never forget.

The rooms were comfortable, the food was great, and the staff were friendly. It's a family-run hotel in a great location, well worth a stay.

Really happy with this place. The service was perfect, and the women working there were beautiful 😊 I'll definitely come back 😇
