Von Korff´s Rest & Relax Hotel

The restaurant was inviting, though my curry duck with basmati rice wasn’t quite to my taste: I’d have liked it crunchier and less soupy. It’s hard to judge a whole kitchen from one dish, though, and I came away with an excellent impression overall and would definitely return. The spacious, comfortable room and bathroom made for a very pleasant stay, and breakfast was excellent. The lovely materials and design throughout the property show the Mistress of the House has very good taste.

I didn’t expect to order Thai curry in this sort of restaurant, but my colleague recommended it and I’m glad I listened. The presentation and flavor were great, and they brought complimentary bread and olives with the wine. The hotel has spacious modern rooms, with a very comfortable bed and pillow, and the people and service were very good. I did miss having an ironing board, coffee maker, and basic toiletries in the room.

The rooms were lovely. At breakfast, they seemed a little too eager to clear things away; a “Last Orders” call would have helped the few of us still there.

The room was roomy, and I really enjoyed the breakfast and the great coffee. We had dinner too, with plenty of menus to choose from. I went for Schnitzler, of course, and it didn’t let me down. One of the best. Highly recommend this hotel :)
