Ferienwohnung, Gutshaus Schulenbrook

The attic was stifling, the water stayed cold, and the refrigerator barely cooled. Cobwebs and mosquitoes were all over the rooms, and the whole house smelled stale. No one cleaned for four days. The owner would go into rooms while guests were out, then knock on doors in the evening over little things. He even found fault with cars parked outside. There always seemed to be a problem. At check-in, the older owner asked for another €32 for bedding and cleaning, although we’d already paid for the room and Booking.com hadn’t mentioned those charges. That evening he told us to go to the bank to get our money back, or he wouldn’t let us in. We couldn’t pay by card. The staff were very unpleasant, unfriendly, and even rude. It’s expensive and not worth renting a room there. The stay was a new kind of stress for me, and one I won’t forget. Please stay away. I wholeheartedly do not recommend this place!
