Hotel Haus Schons

We felt at home here during our five-day stay. The room was lovely, the view was great, and the bathroom had giraffes on the wall. There were two big chairs, so we could watch TV without sitting on the bed. We appreciated all the little extras, from pillows in different sizes to sanitary napkins, a sewing kit, and ear plugs. We could make coffee or tea in our room, or grab a drink from the fridge in the guest sitting room. Breakfast had lots to choose from, including bread, cereal, fresh fruit, and eggs.

The town was pleasant to wander around, and the lock gates on the Saar are worth seeing. We were there for one night on a motorcycling holiday, and the quiet room was great. The staff really stood out: they welcomed us warmly, helped with everything, and provided a garage for the bikes. The restaurant was closed on Monday, its rest day, but a typed note in our room suggested places to eat. At breakfast, there was a personal written “good morning” on our table, and the breakfast lady was delightful, friendly, and helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if we’re in the area.

Breakfast on the outdoor terrace was perfect, with quality products. The room had all the amenities we needed, and that gave us confidence we’d booked with professionals. We were very happy with our choice of hotel in Mettlach and hope to return soon. Highly recommended.

All the small details that brighten your day seem to be taken care of here. It’s clean and nice, the rooms are comfortable, and breakfast is very good. The place is quiet, so you can rest and sleep well. Thank you for everything! :)
