We stayed in rooms 107 and 116 on 29/12/25. The apartments are new, spacious, nicely decorated, with comfortable beds and a great shower. The kitchens had plenty of utensils, plus free coffee capsules and tea bags. The fridge is small but has a digital temperature display and freezer, which mattered a lot because my son’s medication has to stay within a particular temperature range. There’s no reception, but getting into the building was easy with the access code sent by message. The main problem was the garage. I had booked and paid 12 euros in advance, but no entry code came through. Limehome customer service were polite, and we spoke to two agents in English and Portuguese. The first gave us a code, but the six digits didn’t work. Someone inside the garage eventually opened the gate to leave, so we got in. Then we didn’t know where to park among the numbered spaces. An agent told us to park anywhere, despite the no-parking signs. A resident showed us where the four spaces were. They were numbered 21, 23, 23 and 24, with Limehome signs at the very back that were hard to spot. All four had cars in them, so someone was using the space I had paid for. This was after 5:30 PM. On another call, a different representative said I hadn’t booked a garage, even though I have the bank receipt. We ended up taking the car to the P1 indoor parking at Outlet Metzingen, which also cost 12 euros for the day. The money wasn’t the point. They offered and charged for parking, didn’t provide it, then denied my reservation. I came to Metzingen for the Outlet and lost time sorting out a problem I had tried to avoid. If they offer parking, they should check that the spaces are free, perhaps with a camera or someone on site. We also didn’t get towels until 5 PM, and they were wet despite being clean.

The location was great and the room looked clean, but there was a really strong cooking smell. The Wi-Fi barely worked, so despite booking the place to work, I had to use all my mobile data. The big TV was no use without a connection either. I complained right away, but the only offer was a 10-euro discount, which didn’t fix anything. I had full Wi-Fi signal, so it wasn’t a router-distance issue. They seemed to lack enough internet data for everyone in the rooms. The rooms are above a grocery store, and from 6 a.m. there was loud noise as trolleys were moved in and out.

Getting in and out was straightforward with self check-in and checkout. The location is handy, a few minutes from the shops, with a grocery store downstairs and bus stops and the train station nearby. The rooms felt modern and comfortable, and the kitchen had the basics like pots, knives, oil, salt and pepper. There’s no dishwasher or drying rack, though. The Wi-Fi was very slow and sometimes unusable. I’ve stayed a few times, and the cleaning has been inconsistent.

We had to call the police because workers entered our room while we were out, despite the “do not disturb” sign. They weren’t wearing uniforms and there’s no reception where we could check who they were. Our portable security camera recorded them looking closely at our belongings, especially the camera, and going into the bathroom. Nothing was stolen. We only learned what had happened after the online service responded. Later they said they urgently needed to order new curtains on Friday at 5 p.m., which clearly wasn’t an emergency. The room was also noisy from doors opening and closing in the hall, and maintenance carts sometimes blocked the way to our room.

The rooms are nice and check-in went well. But the Wi-Fi was unbelievably bad, basically nonexistent. How can the internet connection still be this poor in 2024?
