Strandhaus Mönchgut B&B

The natural beach is fine and sandy, seems to go on forever, and is only 200 meters away. The water is shallow, great for swimming. I spent 14 days here with my dog and felt very comfortable. My room had a charming feel, a refrigerator, and a large terrace. Breakfast had a great variety and left nothing to be desired. There are several good restaurants and snack bars nearby for all kinds of tastes. I had a fantastic time and will definitely come back. ❤️👍

Room cleaning costs extra, and the room itself was only partly cleaned. It’s a very basic place overall. Breakfast was okay, and they kept topping up the food. If you book, avoid room 28: it’s right beside the street, with parking spaces just a meter from the terrace and garbage bins directly in front.

Our room was a good size and had a lovely terrace. We stayed at Strandhaus Mönchgut for 5 nights with our family, and both the beach and local restaurants were close by, about a 5-minute walk. Breakfast was plentiful and had plenty of variety. A good choice for a short break on Rügen.

The only thing that bothered me was the neighbors smoking a lot, with the smoke drifting into my room. I’d still come back. The beds were comfortable, it was quiet and clean, the staff were very friendly, and breakfast was great. A really lovely stay.
