After what happened, I won't spend another dime with Best Western Hotels. The hotel and its manager were extremely rude, and I was made to travel 2.5 hours under false payment conditions. The manager was just as rude and refused to take responsibility.

That Christmas Eve dinner buffet was a letdown: little choice, no festive feel, and below-average food, probably because of the large coach groups. Breakfast was a different story, with lots of options and mostly good food, including choices for Bavarian and English breakfast fans. The breakfast buffet waitresses were quite bossy, though. We had a very spacious Junior Suite, and the whole property was spotless and well looked after. The bathroom was on the small side, and a faulty seal meant a shower could quickly flood it. The staff were generally friendly and helpful, especially the younger crew, who were warm and cheerful. The place was dressed up tastefully for Christmas, and you could tell a lot of effort had gone into it. The restaurant and breakfast room had a pleasant atmosphere, and the lobby fireplace was a cozy place to sit.

Being told to come down to reception just to hear there was no queen bed available felt disrespectful, especially since nobody mentioned it when I checked in. A phone call would have been enough, and they didn't offer any solution. I had booked a queen bed but was given a twin instead. I left feeling that my request didn't matter and that they didn't care about me as a guest.

The room didn't have A/C, which is typical for Germany, but I'd still come back without hesitation. The hotel breakfast was the best we've ever had, A+.

Rooms were quiet and very clean, though nothing fancy. Check-in and checkout were both done with a smile, and everyone was very friendly. The parking lot was full, and you'll need a car there.
