The staff were really friendly, and the location was excellent. The room was extremely clean. There was no breakfast option, and no tea or coffee facilities in the room, which was the only downside.

I was on a four-day business trip at the Wendelstein and liked the traditional Bayerisch style of the pension. The rooms were large and well equipped, the bathrooms modern and spacious, and the hosts polite and welcoming. The mattresses were a little too soft for me. Rain and snow all week meant I couldn't enjoy the inner terrace or the mountain views. I would have liked breakfast, especially some traditional Bayern dishes made in-house, but none was offered. I also put up the please don't disturb sign while I was out, yet they still entered to clean and change the towels. That was fine for cleanliness, but unnecessary and a waste of energy. Around 2-3 AM, the room temperature started dropping, probably because of an automatic setting to reduce energy use. I'd gladly stay again when I'm in Miesbach.

My aunts from East Germany stayed here during their visits, and they were always very happy with the place.
