The area is lovely, but my room didn’t have its own toilet, despite the email promise. The host said it was no longer possible to move me to one with a toilet, so I can only call the stay OK.

Fine for a single night, but I wouldn’t stay longer. The rooms are very old and every floorboard creaks; the furnishings are a matter of taste. I also had trouble booking through Booking.com. The owner seemed overwhelmed, possibly because of her age.

The hostess was so kind and welcoming, and breakfast was wonderful. The rooms are beautiful, and the whole house is decorated with lovely attention to detail.
