Bauernkate im Muritz Nationalpark in Mirow

October 2026. We were five adults, six children and two dogs, and give this place a thumbs up. It’s a peaceful spot close to nature. The accommodation isn’t new, but it’s clean, well looked after and has basically everything you need. The children’s area was a real highlight, with indoor play available whatever the weather, so the little ones won’t get bored.

We visited the holiday resort in May and found it beautiful, especially for families with children. The bread roll service was outstanding, with rolls always fresh and still warm. We accidentally left a wool blanket behind, and it was sent back to us. Many thanks to the management!

We stayed in one of the resort houses as a big family: nine adults, four children and a baby. There was plenty of crockery and cutlery, and the pots and pans were a good size. Everyone could eat together at the large tables indoors and outside. Our house had a fireplace, which was a bit of a wreck but did keep the place warm. Firewood was supplied, and there was a grill at each house. There’s loads for children to do. Little ones have a large playroom with a ball pit, toys, a soft floor, books and art supplies. Older kids can use the billiards, foosball, Super Nintendo, two ping-pong tables and volleyball court. The resort is older, but clearly maintained. We also appreciated the bread roll delivery and the two staff members, who were always available and took care of our requests. There’s a sauna too, though you’ll need patience: its heater is too small for the room.

Our family of ten spent last weekend at this lovely property. Everything was clean and tidy, and we had what we needed for our two-night stay. The owner was very friendly. The children’s play area is large and suits kids up to around ten; older ones can head to the barn for foosball, billiards, darts and more. It kept us occupied during a rain shower, and the outdoor area must be especially nice in warmer, drier weather. There are lovely hiking trails for all levels, plus bread delivery, a fireplace and a sauna. Highly recommended.
