House Wildgans Müritz

The house was spacious and mostly clean, with lots of kitchenware, a sauna, a barbecue grill, and a small wood-burning stove. Each house seemed to have its own parking space. Heating is all electric, including the underfloor heating and sauna. There are quite a few extra charges, so check them ahead of time. Electricity costs €0.45/kWh, and you should record the meter reading as soon as you arrive. We've travelled across most of Europe, the Balkans, and Turkey, and haven't been charged separately for electricity anywhere else. Gas costs €4/m³. If you want to use the stove, bring firewood or buy it at reception. Bed linen and towels cost €9.50 per adult or €5.50 per child if you don't bring your own. The breakfast buffet is €17.50 per adult per day and €10 per child per day. Pool access is limited to two hours and costs €5 per adult or €3 per child. A pool and sauna package is €8.50 per adult or €5.50 per child. The children's playroom costs €6-10 per child and €6 per adult. Check the meter and heating settings right away, and confirm all the charges before your stay. These prices are from November 2025.

The campsite itself was beautiful, but the toilets and shower cubicles were a bit dirty. It was fully booked, yet there were only three men's toilets, and one was broken, leaving just two. The worst part of our stay at camping Leppinsee was the man at reception. Our internet was giving us trouble and the payment didn't go through straight away. He had no patience, kept sighing and rolling his eyes, and was so rude that after our six-hour drive we considered leaving immediately. When we shut the door to his cabin as we left, he yelled at us too. The next day, after I went to town, I was waiting to get through the entrance. He thought I wasn't moving fast enough, so he waved his arms and shouted at me even though nothing was wrong. He really spoiled our stay.

The Scandinavian-style houses have lake access, and the playgrounds are huge and gorgeous. There's also entertainment, several food options, and even a circus during the summer. We're planning to return for longer and explore more of the area's lakes, castles, and towns in MV.

Breakfast was good value at €14 for adults and €9 for kids. We were happy with our holiday house for a long weekend, and the place was clean and well cared for. There was plenty to do, and the restaurants both on site and nearby served a good range of food at reasonable prices and good quality. At check-in, I was offered a “special” flat rate of €35 a day for electricity, supposedly with the added perk of a quick checkout. I'd strongly advise against taking it. We paid just €6 a day for the electricity we actually used, even with the sauna, and checkout was still quick and smooth. That's why I'm taking off a star.
