We loved how peaceful it was here and would gladly return for another relaxing holiday. The check-in and check-out are entirely contactless. Outside, it’s easy to barbecue and unwind, and the little train gets you down the slope in about 20 minutes. The panoramic trail and even the parking lot have wonderful views for stargazing. Hohe Liebe and the Schrammsteine ​​rock formations are nearby, and there are good restaurants in every direction for dinner. Breakfast is generous and thoughtfully presented, with special requests collected each day. If you’re new to the mountains, it’s easy to get lost heading off in any direction.

The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. Everyone on staff was kind and helpful, and we felt well looked after throughout the stay. There’s parking underneath the building, and it makes a handy base for exploring.

There’s Wi-Fi, and the adjoining restaurant by the vineyard serves a generous breakfast. Our twin room had a shower, comfortable beds, and a pleasant conservatory. The furnishings were functional, and cleanliness clearly matters here. The building sits in Mittelndorf between Bad Schandau and Sebnitz, set back a little from the main road, so it’s fairly quiet.

For the price, the double room was decent, and the staff were super friendly. Breakfast was great, and the room was very clean when we arrived. The TVs, apart from the one in the bathroom, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly. It’s easy to drive to places like Bastei and Kuhstall. The beds were awful, though: the pillows were worn out and the bed creaked whenever I moved. There weren’t proper blinds, so I ended up sleeping in daylight. Kitchen supplies were sparse too, with no large spoons, just one large cup and one deep plate, and no dish soap. Cleaning during the stay only meant taking out the trash, and that wasn’t even done every day.
