Beaumont Farm

Luise and Anthony made us feel like part of the family from the moment we arrived. Luise was getting the BBQ going, while their kids and the other guests roasted marshmallows around a bonfire. The next day, they drove us to a nearby lake for swimming and a picnic, and offered stand up paddle boards to anyone who wanted and was able to use one. Back at the farm, we enjoyed drinks on the veranda and time with the kids on their playground. We spent the weekend feeling right at home. Their children are such bright, lovely company, and the whole place is a great spot to relax and enjoy simple things. We’ll definitely be back.

I came for a week of academic writing and got plenty done while still having time to rest. The farm is beautiful and quiet, just right for writing. Luise and her family were wonderful, and Luise even helped me brainstorm and checked in on my progress. :)

The farm sits in lovely rural countryside, with country walks and cycling routes starting right outside, and a lake for swimming within walking distance. Anthony and Luise, their two young children, and all the dogs, cats, chickens and rabbits made us feel very welcome. Beaumont farm is a beautiful rustic farmhouse, and I’d happily recommend a visit.

I had a great time during my two weeks at Beaumont Farm. I got to contribute to their sustainable slow tourism and permaculture farming project, building outdoor solar showers with friends. It was a lot of fun, and I’ll definitely return.
