Hotel Elisenhof

I'm still here as I write this. The room wasn't as described, and when I told staff about the missing items, all they said was sorry. That wasn't much help. They say there's free WiFi, but it doesn't work. The place is clean, and it is cheap, but not cheap enough when we paid for amenities that weren't provided. Such a disappointing rip off 😞

The room was large and clean, with a somewhat 1970s feel, and the bed was comfortable. Everything else was fine, though the location isn't great, with little nearby.

The room was spacious, with a double bed and a shower bathroom, but it smelled of cigarette smoke, which is a no go. The furniture and fabrics looked very old, probably from the 1990s, with wear visible throughout. The style doesn't meet today's expectations or standards, and it makes you wonder why basic upkeep and checks aren't being done. Breakfast was good, and the waitress was friendly. At reception I had to ring the bell because no one was there, but the welcome was warm and check-in was quick, with a key card handed over. The hotel is easy to reach from the motorway and has free parking outside, but it's in a residential neighborhood with no restaurants, bars, or sports places nearby.

It's quiet and set in a residential area, and everything was kept very clean. The rooms and the overall look of the hotel do feel old, as other reviews have mentioned. Parking right in front is limited, though there's easy access to a garage with more spaces, and free electric car charging is available too. Breakfast was good, with a variety of choices.
