Hotel Moerser Hof

Breakfast was good, with fresh food and enough choice. The scrambled eggs were nice, and the staff were friendly. But over a week here I didn't get a single good night's sleep. My room faced a busy road junction, so opening the windows wasn't an option, and even with the fan on full it just pushed warm air around. It felt like a sauna. The curtains were too thin to block the traffic lights, so I put the other bed's duvet over the window to try to make it darker. Light still came in at night. The plastic bed sheets made me sweat, and the mattresses and pillows were basic and cheap. The bathroom smelled awful. The rooms are very old and badly need updating and painting: the carpet was nearly worn through and the curtains were hanging from broken fittings.

The hotel is old but kept in good shape and very clean. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was good. It's at the edge of the town centre, though the busy road next to it means nights won't be completely quiet. Also, not every part of the hotel is wheelchair accessible.

The rooms and location were nice, but the staff were lousy and inflexible. I was charged an extra €20 for leaving the room half an hour after checkout. When I was in a terrible rush and needed a taxi, the clerk was busy talking to another hotel employee instead of calling one for me. For those reasons, I don't recommend this hotel.

A clean, good hotel for a good price.
