The village location made long hikes easy, and the Kormoran house was just the right size for us. We spent three weeks there with two dogs, sometimes with six people in our group. The furnishings were very tasteful, and the heating worked well. Having a washing machine and dryer was much appreciated. The master bedroom mattresses are quite worn, though, and the stairs up to the attic bedrooms are pretty steep. Younger people should be fine with them.
Groß Zicker is such an idyllic, peaceful place, with lovely houses and nature all around. The captain's houses had great furnishings and everything we needed, though I would have liked them to be a little cleaner.
The house was nice and clean, with plenty of towels and bed linens, and there was parking available. The area is beautiful, and the bus runs regularly to nearby towns. It’s free to ride with a visitor’s card. We’d gladly return.
The landscaping is lovely. The house itself is large and beautiful, with five bedrooms, and the kids especially liked the attic rooms. Parking is a little tight, and the driveway could use some trimming.
I came looking for a quiet spot in nature and a distinctive little house, and that’s what I found. The furnishings were beyond what I expected, and it was easy to reach a friendly contact person. The atmosphere felt especially pleasant and welcoming in the off-season.
