Reethaus Zickersche Berge - Apt. 01

If you're after peace and nature, this is a lovely spot. The garden, with its old English roses and mature trees, makes you want to linger. The holiday apartments have been newly renovated and are modern, furnished with care and attention to detail. The balconies have fantastic views of both the Bodden lagoon and the Zicker Hills.

The little holiday apartment is nicely furnished, but the cleanliness really needs attention, especially with the ongoing complaints about it on booking.com. It clearly hadn't been cleaned properly: the kitchen cupboards were dirty, there were smears on the doors, the oven was unclean, hair was in the shower, the drain was clogged, the shower curtain was dirty, and cobwebs covered the windows. The apartment was also very damp, with a musty smell. It got better after we turned up the heat a little and bought an odor neutralizer and a scented candle. Having a vacuum cleaner, broom, dustpan, and a bit of dish soap helped make things more comfortable. Still, the high final cleaning fee isn't justified.

So cozy, really nice. Peaceful and wonderful.

We took a quick off-season trip to the harbor with the White Fleet.
