Burghotel

I really like Monschau, which makes this unpleasant stay especially disappointing. The room was very old, the toilet badly worn, spider webs were on the window, and parts of the white pillowcases had turned yellow. There were no amenities at all, including body soap or shampoo. The stated checkout window was 10:00-11:00. I told the host I’d go for a walk and return before 11, and he agreed. When I got back at 10:55, the cleaner was nearly done, our things had been moved, and our charging devices unplugged. The host then spoke to me in an extremely aggressive and racist way. He said checkout was 10:30 and that he could clean before guests left. It didn’t feel professional or reasonable.
