We only came for dinner, so I can't say anything about the hotel. The food was fantastic, full of flavor, and among the best I've had in quite a while. Congratulations to the chef. The atmosphere was lovely too, and the staff were super nice. Highly recommend it. I'll come back.

The food we tried was decent, and the place is very nicely located in the center of Monschau. The interior had some decoration, though it could have used a bit more care. Service felt unenthusiastic and rather unwelcoming. Since it's cash only, the place also came across as untrustworthy to me.

The food wasn't good value for the high prices, and the bill was wrong. Paying was inconvenient too, since they only take cash, which feels absurd in 2025. We waited nearly an hour for someone to take our order after arriving at 11:45 and being told the kitchen would open in 20 minutes. We asked for still water and got sparkling. I suspect that was a language mix-up, since the waitress isn't German and the German terms for water can be confusing, so I don't blame her entirely. The experience was okay, but I wouldn't return.

The restaurant is in a nice location, but the service was horrible. Our dishes had stains and weren't clean, and there was hair in our food. That is simply unacceptable. They may not manage to cook delicious food, but they shouldn't serve customers on dirty dishes. The visible stains weren't from our food, they were left by a previous customer.
