We picked this hotel for one night while visiting Therme Erding, and the drive there was only 5-7 minutes. Parking is across the street, they gave us two bottles of water for free, and there’s a machine to buy soft drinks. One card per room opens both the main entrance and our room. We paid by card, though cash is also accepted. The restaurant looked nice, but we only had breakfast, so I can’t comment on dinner. What stood out to me was how many basic things were actually taken care of, at a reasonable price for these days. Breakfast was included in the 110e price. The rooms smelled nice, and had towels, a safe, shampoo and a toilet brush. The toilet has a window and a regular door that closes properly, not glass. I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels missing some of those basics, and those glass toilet doors that don’t shut tightly make me 🤢. The furniture also didn’t feel dated. A couple of downsides: check-in starts after 14:00, which I don’t like, and even with the room temperature turned all the way up, it wasn’t warm enough for us. Someone else might find it fine, but we prefer a warmer room. The bed was on the firm side, which I personally liked, though others may not. The big German-style pillow was firm too, unlike some elsewhere in Germany that seem to disappear when you fold them. I don’t usually give five stars, but this place deserves them for getting the simple things right.
