We enjoyed our weekend stay a lot, even though it was short. The apartment is bright, welcoming, and spacious, with a modern interior that has everything you need. I particularly liked how the original doors and old building character sit alongside the modern furnishings. The area near Saxon Switzerland also gives you plenty of ways to enjoy the outdoors.

There was room for all eight of us to sleep, cook, and spend time together. The apartment is spacious, with a huge sofa and a dining table that comfortably seats eight. Everything was impeccably clean, and the two bathrooms were really nice.

The setting in a historic rectory was lovely, and the hosts were dependable. The accommodation was immaculate, among the cleanest and best-kept rentals I've come across. I can highly recommend it and am looking forward to another hiking trip, hopefully soon without the risk of COVID-19 infection. All the best to the hosts, stay healthy. See you soon!

For seven years I've spent holidays with the Krimmling family in Maxen, in more than just the summer. It's a dream spot, and Dresden is close by. The hiking paths are varied and bring little cultural discoveries along the way. The village community is lovely too, and makes you feel welcome and at ease. Plus, I get to go horseback riding :-).
