We were invited to an event here, so I can’t say anything about staying overnight. The meal, though, was truly top-notch, better than we’ve eaten in a long time. The ingredients, cooking, flavor, and portion sizes could all hold their own against premium-class cruises. I especially loved the appetizer buffet, which was excellent, and unlike anything I’ve had the chance to enjoy at another restaurant. The staff got everything right. Highly recommended!

A friend had recommended this restaurant, but they won’t see us again. The website said it opened on Thursdays at 5 p.m., so we went in at 5:15. One staff member kept snapping that it only opened at 6 and didn’t seem to understand that the online hours should at least be corrected.

The breakfast was basic, with rolls, eggs, coffee or tea, and juice, so don’t expect a big buffet, at least during the coronavirus pandemic. Dinner was excellent, including vegetarian choices that weren’t on the menu. We had delicious pasta with fresh chanterelles. Our guesthouse room was lovely and spacious, with a sofa and a bathtub.

Breakfast was a short walk away at the hotel, where the dining room felt like it had been kept up since the 1970s/80s. The style was old-fashioned, but everything was clean and well cared for. Breakfast was brought to the table, with generous variety and especially fresh food. We were a couple staying in the guesthouse about 80 meters from the hotel. Check-in was in the main building, so we left our luggage in the car. The room had twin beds and an old-school youth hostel feel. We had to hook up the minibar ourselves, even though we were there in the middle of summer, but everything else was clean and working.
