Hotel & Restaurant Bakenhof

Bus 1 stops right outside the hotel and takes about 20 minutes to reach the city center. The friendly staff told us that during the four weekends around the Münster Christmas market, it’s free, which was really handy. We stayed for a long weekend. Downstairs, the rooms are small but functional, clean, new, and modern, with a good shower and excellent beds. The upstairs rooms are bigger. Breakfast is good, including scrambled eggs. The restaurant serves excellent German food, especially the steak and schnitzel, though it isn’t cheap. There’s no bar for a drink after dinner. Across the street, there’s a large supermarket with a coffee shop where you can eat. I’d recommend the place.

A pretty nice little hotel, with fair prices, clean rooms, decent food, helpful hosts, and good service. It’s a bit of a trek from everything, though you can sort of walk.

I’d happily recommend the November menu. The goose, deer, duck and other dishes were all delicious and cooked just right 👌🏼.

The staff were lovely, and the food was very good. Malk was especially helpful and understanding.
