Novotel Münster City

The city center, restaurants, and train station are all nearby, as is the car park. It’s an easy walk into town, and the rooms and location are both nice. You can’t go wrong booking this place.

I paid extra for more comfort and a bigger bed, but the king-sized bed had two mattresses that weren’t secured in place. Since there were no side walls, they shifted around, leaving a gap between them as wide as the Grand Canyon, no joke. Really disappointing.

We were very pleased with our two-night stay. The room was spacious, breakfast had plenty of choice, and the hotel is in a good location. It was also quiet at night, which matters to me. A few things could be better: there was no fridge, the bathroom was rather small, and the shower, including both the main and handheld heads, was awkward to use.

The food was a problem too. On my first night there were only two options, then there was no room service the next night, so I stopped eating there. I stayed for four nights, and the service was very poor. Staff were also very unfriendly to foreigners. Room service was missing most days, with staff saying they were working with just one person. Hospitality was a solid zero. We use this hotel a lot for business trips, but I’ll tell my colleagues to try to avoid booking it. A pretty disappointing experience.
