For posting letters, there’s a useful yellow box nearby, as you can see in the second picture. Not every hotel or restaurant has one close at hand. The hotel is less vegan-friendly than other places in town, though there’s a line 11 bus stop right across from the building to take you into town and to more vegan-friendly spots.

Villa Medici is the one restaurant in the Münsterland region I’d put alongside very good Michelin-starred restaurants. We’ve visited four times now and hope to return often. Its creativity, presentation, range of flavors and attentive service are better than anything else around here. Don’t come expecting an Italian spaghetti-and-pasta place. For the past four years, we’ve tried Münster’s and the region’s best restaurants almost weekly. We were often disappointed and drove to Düsseldorf, Maastricht, Bruxelles, Frankfurt, or Schloss Bensberg for really good dinners. Villa Medici delivers high-end cuisine, presentation, service and atmosphere, and while its prices aren’t cheap, they’re good value for that quality. Münster doesn’t deserve a restaurant this good. People here don’t seem to appreciate truly high cuisine.
