Really good prices, great food, and a great hotel with a lovely atmosphere!

Excellent.

I arrived 20 minutes before our 5 p.m. meeting, after a 10 hour workday without a lunch break, hoping to get a bite to eat. I then noticed the sign saying they opened at 5. Another meeting participant was already in the side room, so I went to the main dining area and politely asked if I could order something small. The middle aged woman snapped at me almost immediately: “We're closed! You're disrupting the whole process!!!” She continued ranting in a way I couldn't fully understand, despite my Franconian roots. I was completely taken aback and decided not to order food or a drink during the meeting. I usually only leave reviews when something is especially good and deserves praise, but this experience was the opposite. I can't remember the last time someone spoke to me in such an outrageously aggressive tone. I expected a simple yes or no, or an explanation that the food wouldn't be ready until after 5. A young woman later brought drinks to the other participants in the next room. She was nice, and I almost felt sorry for her. Her colleague's behavior had kept me from ordering and leaving her a tip. I don't know whether that disgruntled woman was an employee or the owner, but polite questions can be answered politely, or at least factually. I've worked in restaurants myself and know the job can be stressful. Guests can still be treated with courtesy. That incident makes this place a no go for me. I'd rather go to the beer garden in Mörsach.

The food was delicious, and we felt so comfortable that we'd definitely stay again if we're in the area. We were two couples spending a weekend here with our bikes, and we were very well looked after. The rooms and the whole building were clean and tastefully decorated. Staff were friendly, helpful, and always happy to answer questions. There was plenty of free parking, and we were allowed to arrive at midday and use the garage to store our bikes and change clothes. The inn also has a lovely beer garden, where you can sit on the lawn or in a pavilion. We'd absolutely recommend it.
