Landgasthof Jagstmühle

You can reserve a table, which is probably best, for a special occasion. The price is a little high, but I thought it was worth it. There are four-, five-, six-, and seven-course menus, or you can put together your own meal from the starters, main courses, and desserts. We tried the four-course menu and really enjoyed it.

I booked on the same day for a business trip and found the room really nice and clean. The restaurant served good, tasty food too. It was just what I’d expect from a four-star hotel. Recommended.

The bedrooms are a very high standard, with really comfortable beds. Breakfast has a wide choice of meats and cheeses, plus made-to-order options like scrambled eggs. There are lots of different breads, all very fresh, and an excellent tea selection. My room didn’t seem to have tea or coffee-making facilities, though, and I like having those because I need caffeine to get going on an early work morning. As a restaurant, it focuses on regional food and has pleasant seating both indoors and outside. There’s a large grassy area next door where children can play. They serve high-quality local beer from a nearby brewery, along with good regional wines and a wide selection of schnapps.

The food is always delicious, and I’ve never been disappointed. The staff are great and very accommodating. It’s especially lovely outside, with peaceful rural surroundings that are great for a walk or bike ride. Try the starters and desserts, if you still can.
