The surroundings are natural and pleasant, but inside the hotel feels very dated and really needs a major renovation. We stayed during the summer heat, which was almost unbearable, and there was no air conditioning or even a fan to help. Other guests seemed just as uncomfortable. There’s no elevator either, so you have to haul your own suitcases upstairs. Breakfast was okay.

A good restaurant, welcoming staff, and a spotless room in a historic location. The room is simple and a little dated. If you’re a light sleeper, ask for one at the back, away from the road noise at night.

The view outside is fantastic, and the rooms, though small, are clean. It’s a really good place to stay and sleep with your family, out by a small village rather than in the city. Hospitality and food were good too.

The restaurant serves delicious, unusual dishes, especially the wild meats. The hotel and restaurant are wonderful. If you’re in the region, I recommend checking it out.

We stopped here by chance and found a place with real character. Traditional, generous food at good value, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and efficient.
