We had a fabulous stay. The apartment was roomy, with quality fittings and a wonderful bathroom. The hotel is in a lovely spot, breakfast was excellent, and the host made us feel very welcome. One of the best places we’ve stayed during our trips to Germany.

The rooms have lovely character, and the views from the hotel are beautiful. It’s a remodeled monastery over 600 years old, and the owner and operator, Alex, takes real care with guests, making time to help with menus, information, and whatever else they might need. The hotel is run with a lot of thought and care.

Breakfast was good, and the owner seemed like a nice guy, but I left feeling badly let down. After a difficult trip in extreme heat, I arrived exhausted and found the place completely deserted. Both the bar and restaurant were closed, so there was nothing to eat or drink, and no one was there to greet me. I had to call the owners to get the room key from the key safe. I then had to walk around Nabburg looking for somewhere to eat, which was the last thing I wanted after such a tough day. It was a very disappointing end to it, and I can’t recommend this hotel.

A nice room with a great bed, and the helpful staff serve a good breakfast in a room overlooking the town. The hotel is right in the center.

The owner was really nice, and the food was great. Everything was clean and comfortable, making this one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in.
