Oho Rooms

The rooms were clean, and the bed was the best part. Slept like a baby.

The room smelled so bad that, even though it was after 12:30 a.m., we couldn’t face spending the night in it and drove 1.5 hours home. Finding the hotel had already felt like detective work: the road ends at a cul-de-sac, then there’s a truck parking area, and you have to keep searching until you find the place. The digital setup was supposed to be an advantage, but it was the worst part. Emails went unanswered, the instruction manual was complicated, the guidance was poor, and there was no app. Never again.

There’s parking right outside, and whether the location suits you depends on what you’re planning to do. The rooms are modern and well kept, with a small kitchenette, and the beds are comfortable. Everything was very clean apart from the toilet. Getting checked in by email and unlocking the door with an online swipe took some getting used to, though it worked. I’m not sure what you’re meant to do if it fails or your phone dies.

The room itself was nice, and the location was good and quiet. Still, I personally wouldn’t stay again. I found a huge spider in the room, though I know nobody can do anything about that. Being able to arrive late and get into the room at any time with digital check-in and a key is handy. The downside is that there’s only one emergency number, and I couldn’t reach anyone at 11:30 PM. Emails also take two days to get a reply.
