We felt welcome right away, and our senior dog did too. The grounds are well kept, the surroundings are beautiful, and shops are an easy walk away. Parking is right next to the apartment. The rooms are clean and well laid out, and the place is fully accessible except for the shower. The service was very friendly.

The apartment was a good size, the Wi-Fi worked well, and parking was close by. We didn’t feel comfortable during our stay and left early. The landlords wanted check-in and check-out to be contactless. I understood that at the height of the pandemic, but it doesn’t feel hospitable now. When we raised the kitchen cleanliness issue, they just shrugged and showed no understanding. There was no apology or suggestion to fix it.

The town center was walkable, though our plans involved driving quite far, so we didn’t get to explore it properly. We had trouble finding the hosts at the back of the house and needed help from the guests next door. They spoke only German, but were very friendly and welcoming, and gestures were enough to get by. The bungalow made things easy, with no stairs to carry luggage up and down. It was spacious, with roomy bedrooms, a living room, bathroom, and courtyard, and the kitchen had everything we needed, including a vacuum so we could keep the floors clean during our extended stay. Heating kept us warm even when nighttime temperatures dropped below 10 degrees Celsius. The kids loved the sandpit, swings, and pool table in the courtyard, and getting to feed hay to the nearby horses was a special experience. A huge thank you to the hosts for preparing birthday cake, champagne, wine, and soft drinks for my husband and little daughter. We did have less than half a roll of toilet paper for our two-day stay, so we had to make do carefully. One or two rolls would have helped.

We spent a wonderful week in Nennslingen. The apartment was spacious and lovely, and the location was quiet and beautiful. We could easily get to everything we needed by car or bicycle.
