Kurhotel Pyramide Sibyllenbad

The staff really helped make this trip worthwhile. Reception was great too, and helped us sort out a tricky spa overcharge. They clearly wanted to make our stay pleasant. The waitstaff and chef were kind and cordial, and the food was good, especially the excellent baked goods. I preferred the all-included breakfast to dinner, where the choices were more limited and drinks cost extra. Our room looked nice, was clean, and had a wonderful balcony, but the walls were paper-thin. Noise from other rooms and the hallway was impossible to ignore, and with few guests around, I can only imagine how loud it gets when the hotel is full. The wifi barely worked in our room, and the extra charges for robes, the COVID “hygiene” fee, tourist tax, and other things were a bummer. The hotel is about a zillion miles from anywhere. If you want to walk around in the nice park or have easy, cheap parking, this is your place. Otherwise, nope.

We’ll definitely come back. The room was large, with a balcony and clothes drying rack, and the shower and bathroom were modern and super. Breakfast was good, and the “Bademantel Gang” is a great way to get comfortably to the pool. Everything was clean, and service was friendly everywhere. Dinner in the evening really wasn’t nice, so we were glad to have vouchers for other restaurants. WLAN was either very slow or didn’t work at all.

The pools were great for relaxing, both indoors and outdoors, and the chambermaids took good care of the rooms. Reception staff were friendly, helpful, and full of advice about beautiful places nearby. Breakfast was awesome, with lots of fresh fruit, cheese, eggs, salami, yoghurt, and plenty more.

We’ve seen few closets set up as well as this one. We plan to return.
