Hollaender Windmuehle in Neubukow

We've spent a few days of our holiday here twice now, most recently in the newly finished apartment. It has what we need, with a bathroom and kitchen plus a combined living and sleeping area. The friendly hosts take care of all the little things that make a stay pleasant. We'd be glad to return.

Having breakfast on the terrace in the lovely garden, coffee in hand and a view across the rolling hills, was one of those moments that gives you goosebumps. The whole stay at Anja & Micha's felt calming, like stepping away from everyday life into something lighter. Staying in a windmill is such an unusual experience, and the place's history comes through as soon as you arrive. The apartment is spotless, well equipped, and carefully put together, with rustic charm alongside modern comfort. Nothing feels random. Anja & Micha were warm hosts, and communication was easy and personal. We felt welcome and looked after from the start. This was much more than somewhere to sleep. We'll definitely return to experience that feeling again.

The children were especially taken with the bathroom, with its bathtub in the middle and a view of the greenery. We had a lovely short break at Anja and Michael's with our three kids, and there was always something new for them to discover. The two bedrooms were cozy. The location worked perfectly, near town and right by the forest for walks and jogging, with the Baltic Sea not far away. We'll be back, promise!

For a quiet escape from everyday life, the mill is a great fit, with its beautiful natural setting, rich history, careful attention to detail, and attentive hosts. Neubukow may not have a party scene or museum districts, but it makes a lovely place to unwind and enjoy good conversation. I'm already planning to return next year.
