The breakfast was such a lovely start to our day before heading home. Everything was plentiful and kept topped up, from the fresh rolls, bread and croissants to scrambled eggs, bacon, fish, cold meats, cheese, fruit, muesli, juice, milk and plenty more. The coffee was delicious too. Booking by email was smooth and easy, and the quality was superb. It was our first visit to your café, and definitely won't be our last. We’re already looking forward to coming again in September or October, when we’re heading on holiday to Werdum or Neuharlingersiel. Best wishes from the Lower Rhine

We felt completely at ease at Hillrichshof and will definitely return. There were five of us, and the buffet had a great range of fresh food, all beautifully laid out. The cake was especially delicious, an absolute treat. Highly recommended! 😊

The setting at the "gates" of Neuharlingesiel was a real highlight. It's peaceful and a little removed from the bustle, while still close to everything. We had another spell of winter during my 10-day stay from January 20th to 30th, 2026, which made the scenery even more enchanting. I would have liked to try the café, so perhaps I'll come back. I stayed at the Pirate's Nest under the roof. The space is used very well, and the place is both roomy enough and nicely, comfortably furnished. There's a little kitchenette with two hotplates, a sink and plenty of "utensils". The bathroom is as small as you'd expect. Showering was tricky for me, as I'm a bit on the heavier side. The last flight of stairs made getting my luggage up difficult, but the landlady immediately and kindly helped with it. Everything was straightforward, friendly and accommodating.
