Holiday Home Haus Schwärzel

We felt at home right away in this lovely old half-timbered house. The owner has put so much care into it, from the furnishings to the equipment. There’s plenty of room, with four bedrooms, three double beds and one single, two shower rooms, a living room, and a large kitchen. Families have a highchair, changing table, and a separate upstairs baby room connected to the main bedroom by beautiful wooden beams. There’s a sturdy wooden baby bed, not a travel cot, plus a washing machine, freezer, and lots of towels. We spent every spare moment in the front garden during summer, having coffee in the morning sun or wine in the evening. In winter, the living room fireplace must make it especially cozy. There’s lots to read in the rooms, though the Wi-Fi is a bit weak, there’s only one TV in the living room, and you’ll need to bring your own board games. The ceilings are low and the stairs steep, as you’d expect in a characterful half-timbered house. That didn’t bother us at all. Babies and dogs both feel at home here. We’ll definitely return and recommend it without reservation!

Our bowling club had a very comfortable stay here. This beautiful old half-timbered house is ideal for families and groups, with everything you need and lovely, thoughtful decor. The landlords are very nice.

We had a really great holiday and enjoyed it so much. There were little lizards running around everywhere, too.

This was just right for our family trip with seven people: three double rooms, a single room, two floors, and two bathrooms. The old half-timbered house has kept much of its original character, giving it a cozy feel without any frills. The furnishings are excellent, the bathrooms are modern and stylish, and the kitchen appliances are new or almost new. Its location is nicely central between Strasbourg and Freiburg. The courtyard seating area feels like a little paradise, with the charm of an old farmhouse. The owner is a wonderful person. Thank you for having us.
