Hotel & Restaurant Boltenmühle

We had a really nice day here, with very good food and a relaxing lakeside area. Even the drive through the area was lovely. I’d definitely recommend the place. We only came for the day and didn’t stay in any of the rooms, but I’d stay here if I’m ever back in the area. There’s lots to see and do nearby, and the hotel seems like a good base.

We had a very good weekend break in nature. The food was very good, especially dinner, and breakfast was worth recommending too. Our room was nice and large, with a pleasant terrace, though the small bathroom shelf felt pretty cheap. Check-in and checkout were rather complicated because many people were trying to check out at the same time, which seemed to slow the system down. The small sauna is a great extra while the kids swim in the pool. There’s a direct way from the sauna house to the river, which is a really refreshing dip. The hotel is out in the countryside, right by the lake and surrounded by nature.

Restaurant review only. The setting is lovely, at the head of the lake in a steep valley that feels cut off from the world. You can get there by boat from Neuruppin on the ferry, by road, or along cycle paths through the woods. There’s a sunken garden dining area as well as more room indoors. Good local produce, a play area for kids, and nice beer.

The outside tables were dirty, and we had to ask the service staff to clean them twice. The restaurant is in a beautiful lakeside spot on Tornowsee, near Neuruppin, in an area that’s lovely for hikers and cyclists.
