The rooms are small and full of character, which I found charming. The shower is tiny, though it works well. I didn't try anything at the bar, but it looked inviting. It's a little out of the way, so if you're not driving, get a local taxi number for trips to and from town. Walking in takes about 45 minutes.

Our group of four booked a triple room with breakfast. Getting there by private car was easy, and I'd suggest arriving early. We got to Steinach Bahnhof late at night and had to call a taxi, but there wasn't one waiting at the station. Buses to Rothenburg town aren't frequent during the day either. The stay was worth it, and the customer service was fine.

The food was great, and the owners were friendly and really helpful. It's a great place to stay when visiting Rothenberg. I'd come back whenever I'm in the area.

Our car broke down, so we ended up staying here for two days. The hotel was very nice, clean, and tidy. I'd recommend it.

For what it costs, this place is unbelievably good. A friendly, lovely place to stay in Bayern, especially for a trip to Rothenburg.
