Strandhotel Weisser Berg

The rooms were spacious and nice, and breakfast was great. The location is perfect, with friendly staff, and the price is great for being here. We’d love to come back and are already looking forward to next time.

The hotel is right by the lake, so it was nice for walks, and overnight guests get free parking. We slept well in the cosy bed, though the room itself was rather bare and practical. We couldn’t adjust the temperature, so had to leave the window open to keep it bearable. The sink leaked, and the stains suggested it had been doing that for a while. The walls are thin too, so you hear a fair bit from the hallway. Breakfast was okay, but about 9 Euros per person felt a little high for what we got. A kettle, mugs, and complimentary tea and water would have been a welcome extra. My dog cost 10 Euros a day. It was an okay stay if you’re not too picky. 😊

“Thanks for your service.” Everything was perfect, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The manager was especially nice and shared lots of useful information during my stay. I was really pleased with my time at the hotel. It has a peaceful atmosphere, and I enjoyed walking around the Steinhuder Meer Nature Park or riding my bicycle there and breathing the fresh air. I hope I can come back to “Strandhotel Edensee” next year.

Great location and nice staff, but I didn’t like having to pay for every order right away, with no option to put it on a bill. The food was okay. My room wasn’t cleaned properly and needs renovating. The old foam mattress was really uncomfortable, and the fly screen was torn, so it didn’t keep mosquitoes or other insects out.
