The bathroom has been renovated and is quite nice, but the room itself feels old and needs remodeling to justify the price. As soon as I came in, I could smell the old carpet. It was dirty and worn, the outlets were awkward to reach, and some had extension cords. The lighting is dated too. I was very disappointed with the restaurant and the quality of dinner. I can’t comment on breakfast. The woman at reception was unfriendly when I checked out. I travel often and rarely come across a hotel this outdated. I wouldn’t recommend it or stay here again.

The location is nice, and although the rooms are a bit old and worn, they were clean. I gave the hotel 3 stars for a few reasons. There was nobody at reception when we tried to check in, and it was a hassle finding someone in the restaurant to let us into our room. The website shows a pool, but there isn’t one on the property. It’s a local pool and costs extra to use, which I should have caught in the fine print. Breakfast runs from 8-10, and I prefer to get an earlier start.

The hotel is a little older and has a typical Bavarian feel. The rooms are large and clean, and there’s a restaurant on site. You can reach the bath complex directly through an underground connection, and they lend robes and towels. Staff were friendly, and it’s good value.

The pool arrangements left me very dissatisfied. The hotel's prominent pool advertising was a major reason I booked Hotel Centurion, but I only learned on arrival that using it costs extra. That felt misleading and like a bait-and-switch. I bought a full-day ticket after being told I could come and go freely. When I tried to get back in, I was told I should have notified the staff before leaving. No one mentioned that when I purchased the ticket, so the situation was frustrating and made me feel misled. The ticket attendant was also deeply disrespectful. While I spoke with her in English, she made disparaging comments about me in German to other customers in the queue, who clearly found it amusing. I don’t speak German, and being ridiculed in a language I couldn’t understand was humiliating and insulting. This was unacceptable and reflected badly on the hotel's customer service. The room itself was satisfactory and well maintained. Reception and restaurant staff provided excellent service, and the restaurant staff were especially amiable. The food was inexpensive, though the quality left much to be desired. Those positive parts didn’t undo how much the pool advertising and attendant’s conduct marred the stay. I hope these concerns are addressed so other guests don’t go through the same frustration.
