The toaster only makes black bread, and you’ll need to use lanterns for light. The beds sag and squeak, and the chairs are creaky and unstable. After a week, we were glad to get out of this dungeon.

The location is great for hiking, and the regional food is excellent. The wine speaks for itself, and has long been among the best the region offers. We’ve known the Palatinate since 1970, and it’s always worth a visit. The landlords were very friendly and welcoming. If you’re fond of 70s charm, you’ll feel right at home.

The couple running the place are very nice and have a great story. We wish them all the best.
