The portions were normal sized and the price felt fair. We had really nice food, beautifully presented with lots of attention to detail. The grilled salmon with chilli cabbage was superb, and even the side salad had sprouts and seeds. The ambience is super nice, mixing old and new, and there’s a great outdoor seating area.

We were happy with both dinner and the friendly service. The staff were willing to help, and the food was fresh and very tasty, made with quality ingredients. The plates and glasses were lovely too. The restaurant sits in a peaceful spot near the river, with a park, parking, disabled access, and a small playground. Friends had recommended it when we were back in the southern Black Forest, so we booked dinner and were glad we tried it. We definitely recommend this place. Location 5/5, service 5/5, quality 5/5.

The food is good and genuine, and the prices reflect the quality, though they’re not especially low. Service is very friendly, but could be a bit more efficient. Set in an old sawmill that’s been renovated with care and style, it has a great cosy atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.

It’s past 1:30 in the morning and there’s still loud live music at die Säge. I can’t sleep in the rooms. The average noise is 55 dB, with peaks around 60-70, on a Thursday night. I’m paying for a good night’s sleep, and instead I’m awake in the middle of the night writing this. Worst hotel experience ever!

Friends of ours had their wedding there, and the place was very refined. It’s a nice venue for weddings and other parties, with good food and a pleasant ambience.
