We arrived too late for dinner, but the bar service was good and the red wine was very nice. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, and spoke good English, which helped with my poor German. The rooms were modern and very clean, with super comfortable beds and exactly the soft, mouldable pillows I like. The air conditioning worked well, and the bathroom was clean and adequately equipped. Breakfast was better than expected, with plenty of choice for business or leisure travellers passing through. It’s a short drive from the motorway and cheaper than the hotels closer to it. I’d happily stop again if my travel schedule called for it. Thanks for a great night’s sleep on the long journey back from Italy to the UK. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it for an overnight stop or a stay of 2-3 nights.

The street side gets busy traffic, but the sound isolation seems to do its job as long as you keep the windows closed. Dinner was fine, with limited choice but enough to suit everyone. The room was good and up to date, with a TV, air conditioning and fridge, plus a small but adequate desk and decent chair. The sauna is small, though with corona the maximum was two people. The steam bath didn’t work. The fitness area looked promising, but I didn’t use it.

The food was absolutely amazing. Maybe I’m just not used to such excellent German cuisine! Service and room quality were excellent too. There were several services we didn’t use, but for the price we paid, it seemed like very good value.

The town really lets this good hotel down. The river views are lovely, though I couldn’t find any seating in the nearby nature reserves. On the plus side, cyclists get a generous discount.

The restaurant food was good, and the people were nice. Breakfast had plenty of fresh food and was quite complete. The hotel is quite near the centre. There’s a spa too, though I haven’t been there.
