Maritimes Freizeitcamp Erfurter Seen

We had the last cabin by the jetty, so it was quieter there, and we actually liked the gentle rocking in bed. The cabins were clean, the grounds were lovely, and reception was friendly. We booked spontaneously for three days and really enjoyed the stay. Of course there were children playing, but that's normal for this kind of accommodation. Getting into the lake for a swim was easy, but a ladder would make it much easier to climb back out. The bathrooms also need cleaning more often, especially when every cabin is occupied. Some people seem unsure what the toilet brush is for...

The Nautik water sports school is highly recommended, and we had a great time there. We were on a school trip, and the houses were clean, basic, and practical, with shared showers and toilets. Everything was clean, and the staff were very accommodating. Service in both restaurants was sometimes unfriendly.

The huts were cramped, though at least fairly nice, and there weren't nearly enough places to sit. We ended up walking across to the beach. The whole property looked run-down and neglected. I was disappointed that we had to strip our own beds and that breakfast wasn't included, especially given the high price. The treasure hunt at €10 per person was much too expensive for what it offered. The showers were dirty, and little flies were everywhere, including in the toilets. Staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful. The value for money was very poor, so I can't recommend the place and we definitely won't return.

The MFC Erfurter Seen (Erfurt Lakes Club) is a beautiful spot for a short break in the floating cabins. The ladies at reception were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The cabins are cute and cozy, but there's very little furniture. We'd seen that in earlier reviews, so we brought along what we needed, including a kettle. In the evening we rented a rowboat and went onto Lake Alpenstedt, where we watched a beautiful sunset. After that we had dinner at the Treff am See restaurant. All in all, perfect.
