The location is convenient, with the beach a five-minute drive away and plenty to see nearby. I've visited the area several times, but never stayed anywhere so dreadful. I had to leave a day early because the air in the room was unbearable. I booked a two-room apartment because I was traveling with my granddaughter. I never saw those two rooms, and I have that in writing. Since I ended up traveling alone, I initially accepted a single room, though I wondered why they couldn't have clarified it beforehand. I would have been perfectly happy with that. When I asked about it, I was curtly told I'd booked a one-room apartment and was practically called a liar. The building was confusing, and nobody was there to greet me. I had to make do with short written messages. On the first floor, I struggled to push open a heavy iron door. I'm 70, and it creaked open before slamming shut behind me while I was holding my heavy suitcase. That noise must be awful for guests trying to sleep. The refrigerator was only a meter from the bed, and its humming kept us up all night. The place looked worn and dated, even though it had just been painted. There was black mold under a pipe, so, since I'm allergic to many things, I covered it with a small cloth. The bed was extremely soft, and the mattress topper hid something grimy. For two people staying five days, there were only two old, worn hand towels and two guest towels. I won't say more about that. Getting the coffee maker down from the cupboard was very difficult, since I needed a chair to reach it. It was dirty, so I wiped it down, put it back, and had my coffee somewhere else. The kitchenette, if you can call it that, didn't feel clean or safe to use, so I moved everything outside. The bathroom seemed reasonably clean as long as you didn't look too closely. The toilet paper holder and curtain rod were gross, and the curtain was already brown at the bottom. I don't know why there wasn't a shower door. The heating system also needs a thorough cleaning. If you just need a place to sleep for a few days and aren't too concerned about cleanliness, it'll do. I can show the written confirmations about the “private apartment in the building” and the two-room apartment if needed.

Everything is within walking distance, including McDonald's, which matters a lot to the kids, and shops like Lidl, Aldi, DM and Aktion. The location is okay, with Norddeich beach about 4 km away. That's manageable, and there's a bus stop around 200-300 meters away. We took the island bus for €1 per person to get around. It even came on a public holiday, as we noticed yesterday, despite the notice saying there was no service on Sundays and public holidays. The rooms are fine for a short stay. A few repairs would be needed, but they didn't bother us.

Everything else was fine, and the place was clean and tidy. The seating is too hard for some people, so a few more cushions would be nice. Some games for adults and children would be good too.

In August 2025, the two of us spent one night in room 4. Everything was clean, modern, comfortable and worked perfectly. It had all the essentials, from a whisk to a grab bar in the shower. We'll definitely check availability next time. THANK YOU
