Pension Deichblick 1 & Deichblich2

The central location is a real plus. The rooms are functional, but the cleaning didn’t go beyond emptying the bins and changing the towels. We had to make our own beds. Breakfast was adequate, though nothing special. The rooms are also very noisy. You can hear the neighbours snoring, talking, and farting. For the price, I’d expect better service.

I’ve stayed here twice before and thought it was very nice for the price. This time, I asked about dates and rates for a two-night stay and got a quick reply asking me to confirm. I did, and asked for a booking confirmation, but I’m still waiting. A friend had the same experience. It’s really disappointing, and I find the way this was handled regrettable.

We felt welcome from the moment we arrived. The owners and staff gave us a warm greeting and were friendly and attentive throughout. The place is well cared for and comfortably furnished, and it’s clear they care about guests’ comfort. Breakfast was a highlight too, with plenty of fresh food prepared thoughtfully and something for everyone. We’d happily recommend staying here and will definitely come back.

The beach is just a stone’s throw from the guesthouse, which was especially handy with children. There’s also a little balcony where you can sit out of the rain if you smoke. Our three-bed room was cozy, with a small fridge and table, and the beds were comfortable. In the morning, we could smell freshly laundered clothes around the guesthouse. Breakfast kept us well fed, and they could cook fresh eggs the way we liked when we asked. The hosts and staff were all friendly and welcoming, so we felt at ease.
